After a chance encounter in the local supermarket, Annie the Town Council Clerk asked us to quote for a brand new, content management based website for the Town Council.
The new website would need to have focus on the local councillors and more information about the council, offering a simple, easy to use system that would appeal to both local visitors and local business.
The site would need to have the ability to add latest news, meeting minutes and have a fully integrated and update-able calender.
After just one meeting with the client, we were able to design a website that they loved and signed off almost immediately, which left us more time to get on with the development of the site onto a CMS.
We had to make sure that we delivered a multi functioning site that allowed the client to easily update all aspects of the site, including the main content, news feed, calender and diary / minute meetings.
The system that we produced for the council was welcomed along with the traditional yet attractive design, and after a few training sessions we were able to hand over the site to the town council.
Town Clerk Annie Lapington said “The Council has wanted to update its website for some time.
Gloucestershire Market Town Forum were kind enough to give us the funding but the Council struggled to find a local company who could do the work at a reasonable cost.
Then, one day in the Coleford Co op the customer in front of me had Clear Web Design on his fleece jacket. I tapped him on the shoulder and asked if they were local and designed websites. Well about a month later here it is. I am absolutely delighted. The Council have been able to support a great Coleford based company who have given us just what we want”
Ian Spencer, director of Clear Web Services said” I was surprised to get a tap on the shoulder in the Co op but it just goes to show that advertising can work. We were thrilled to be able to design Coleford Town Council’s website. It is simple to follow and packed with information. As Annie and Carolyn get more accomplished with using it there will be a facebook page, a blog and may be even a twitter”
Sue Merrikin, Mayor of Coleford said “We saw the website for the first time at our Council meeting last week. It is so clear and informative and we were very impressed. We are delighted that the site will be able to be maintained from the office so it should always be current. Thank you Clear Web Services for doing such a great job”
We are currently planning a new project for the Town Council, which will document the burial records for online visitors looking for this information.
We also help the council with their Twitter and Facebook marketing.
