This morning while watching the news there was a report on which of the popular diets was the best. Apparently the Atkins diet won in terms of weight loss and over all health.

I have never been a fan of dieting. I think that if you live a healthy lifestyle and make a few adjustments to your eating that you can be healthy. Any weight loss will be a positive side effect of being healthy instead of the main focus. With the fast paced busy lifestyles of most homes its hard to eat on time. Preparing your food ahead of time and freezing it so that it can be reheated later will not only save you time but money, but will reduce the need to figure out what to cook daily.

Canned foods are faster but fresh foods are better for overall health. Fresh fruits and vegetables in most cases cost less and take the same amount of prep time as there canned counterparts.

While your body is adjusting to eating more healthy cravings will happen. Its’ best to address that craving right then and be done with it. This will also decrease the likelihood of binging occurring . Designate one day a week to eat whatever you want without thinking about is it healthy or not. Setting a goal like this give you something to look forward to and chance to do a mental evaluation of my eating habits up to that point.

When trying to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle there will be plenty of individuals that will try to plant the seeds of doubt. Don’t listen to them.
